Moving Checklists

Get answers to your big questions

Our team has helped countless tenants during the moving process. We've created the checklists on this page to answer some of the most common questions we hear about the ins and outs of the process. Read through the information below and let us know if you have questions not answered here.

Move-in Checklist

First Month's Rent & Security Deposit

You'll need to pay your first month's rent and security deposit, along with any other fees, to secure your rental home. Confirm these amounts with our team.

Move-in Date & Inspection

The move-in date will be set and all initial inspection information provided during the lease signing.

Utilities

You are responsible for placing all utility accounts in your name immediately following the lease signing. Remember, you'll need to keep these accounts current throughout the duration of your tenancy.

Move-out Checklist

Notice of Intent to Vacate

Planning to move out of your rental home? Refer to your lease to determine your legal move-out date. You must respect the conditions outlined in your lease, providing us with written notice of your intent to vacate your rental home.

Property Condition

Your property must be returned to us in rent-ready condition. This means you'll need to address the following:

Cleaning: One of the most important things to take care of before leaving your rental home is cleaning it thoroughly. This includes vacuuming, dusting, scrubbing the floors, and cleaning all surfaces. You should also clean the bathroom and kitchen appliances, as well as any other appliances that you have used during your tenancy.

Repairs: If you have caused any damage to the property, it's essential to repair it before you leave. This may include fixing any holes in the walls, repainting any areas that need it, and replacing any broken fixtures or appliances.

Security Deposit

Your security deposit will be returned to you following your departure. Our team conducts a final inspection to identify any repairs that need to be addressed. If we schedule maintenance work, the costs for these repairs will be deducted from the deposit.

The remainder will be returned to you.
